I try to listen to my inner voice and find the sense of life, the joy in my life. I’m led by means of my knowledge, pedagogical - creative experience... That's how the workshop “Sing a Folk Song” was created. I tried to prepare an interesting and unique experience. It is intended for all who want to get to know the value of a folk song.

Programme

°   Folklore song - specific cultural and social identity of Slovakia

We will point to its nature, authenticity, informative value and a reference in the tradition - cultural heritage. 

°   Working with voice through a folk song to openness and sound production 

Practical demonstrations - exercises: relaxation, articulation, voice for full control of breath, voice. 

°   Art of interpreting folk songs - dignified value in national culture  

Practical demonstrations of individual styles and types by various performers, intermediaries.

Goal   

°  An activating popular-educational form and method of promoting education, creating a relationship with the traditions. It is a step towards knowledge, understanding our own cultural identity through a folk song.  

°  An attempt to create a cultural matter through an artistic experience, which I believe will get to you, directly into your blood. I am convinced that music is made by people for people, so the human dimension must be in the forefront.

°   To bring joy, creativity and knowledge to deepen mutual relationships, to discover, preserve and develop the art of folk songs.
